Welcome to 8th Grade Art!!
During 8th grade art, students will continue to develop their knowledge and skills as well as build a foundation for future explorations in art. Students are encouraged to engage in creative problem solving skills, critical thinking, innovation, communication, and collaboration throughout the year. Drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media tools and techniques are introduced and applied in their assignments. The concepts of line, color, value, shape, space and texture are explored to help students gain a better understanding and appreciation of art and how it applies to the real world.
