Many of our classes will be doing Mother’s Day activities next week. We want you to know that here at Diven, we are an inclusive school that encourages character development and thus, the idea that love makes a family<\/em>.<\/p>\n Some of our children have traditional families, with a mom and a dad, and some of our children have two moms, two dads, or two grandparents as their caregivers. There are many other family structures in our school, but we teach our scholars that it is love that makes a family.<\/p>\n As our scholars discuss their Mother’s (and next month, Father’s) Day activities, please know that we celebrate mothers not just as biological mothers, but as any person raising their child with love, regardless of gender or DNA.<\/p>\n Happy Mother’s Day!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
