You may be surprised that your child has not come home with much homework this year\u2014that\u2019s because here at Diven, we believe that when children return home from school, it\u2019s a time for family and socializing. We have a school homework policy of no mandatory homework. Some teachers send home supplemental work that will certainly help your child advance in class if it\u2019s completed, but you\u2019ll never be graded on that work or punished for not completing it. That said, we do have one homework requirement: please read with your<\/u> child for twenty minutes every day<\/u>. This small investment of your time will have big impacts on your child\u2019s reading skills.
