Some of you asked about awards for pre-kindergarten students. Students in our pre-kindergarten classes receive Good Kid Patrol awards, like our older students, but they don\u2019t receive academic\/effort awards (Best Fin Forward or Super Splash Awards). Children in pre-K are as young as three and as old as five, and the academic and social skills are so variable and independent of their academic efforts that it\u2019s just not fair to present those kinds of awards to them. We hold a special celebration at the end of the year for the children, but academic\/effort awards start in kindergarten.
