I did nothing today\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\nWhen children come home at the end of the day,
\nThe question they\u2019re asked as they run out to play
\nIs \u201cTell me what did you do today?\u201d
\nAnd the answer they give makes you sigh with dismay
\n\u201cNothing, I did nothing today!\u201d
\nPerhaps \u201cNothing\u201d means that I read a book,
\nOr \u2026. with a Teacher I got to cook.
\nMaybe I painted a picture of Blue,
\nOr heard a story of a mouse that flew.
\nMaybe I wrote in my journal myself,
\nOr found a great book on the library shelf.
\nMaybe I helped a friend today,
\nOr went to my favorite area alone,
\nMaybe today was the very first time
\nThat my scissors followed a very straight line,
\nMaybe I sang a song right to the end
\nOr worked with a special brand new friend.
\nWhen you\u2019re three, four or five your heart has wings
\nAnd \u201cNothing\u201d can mean so many things!<\/p>\n
