Please be sure to&nbsp;obtain approval from&nbsp;your building principal and\/or superintendent prior to submitting any grant application.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/battlefields.org\/learn\/educators\/resources\/field-trip-fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The American Battlefield Trust<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose<\/strong>: To help fund class field trips to Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefields, as well as related museums and historic sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>: K-12 classroom teachers (one class per school district per year)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline<\/strong>: Rolling application (be sure to submit at least one month before the planned field trip!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award Notification<\/strong>: Within two weeks of receipt of the application<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding Amount<\/strong>: $250-$1,500<\/p>\n<p><strong>Covered Expenses<\/strong>: Transportation, meals, admission fees, and reasonable presenter\/guide fees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ineligible Expenses<\/strong>: Overnight lodging, souvenirs<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following information should be verified via the funder&#8217;s website prior to submission.
