The five National Standards below provide a framework to help develop physically active individuals, allowing them to apply the knowledge and skills taught in school to their own lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Standard 1 &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>The physically literate individual demonstraes competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.<br \/>\n<strong>Standard 2 &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>The physically literate individual applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics related to movement and performance.<br \/>\n<strong>Standard 3 &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>The physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve adn maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.<br \/>\n<strong>Standard 4 &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>The physically literate individual exhibits responsible personal adn social behavior that respects self and others.<br \/>\n<strong>Standard 5 &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>The physically literate individual recognizes the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, self-expression, and\/or social interaction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Standards The goal of physical education is to develop individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and the passion to enjoy lifetime of physical activity.
