Basketball represents me by showing what my strengths and weaknesses are. What makes me unique is I will always give a helping hand even if someone has hurt me, I am always willing to give a second chance. Six words to describe me are hard working, caring, loving, patient, dedicated, and a problem solver. I take these skills into consideration whenever I am dealing with any kind of situation. I always get my work done in school, and I am known for being organized. I have played basketball for Watkins Glen since 7th grade. Being a part of a team has taught me responsibility, teamwork, and communication. Throughout the experience we have won 4 out of 5 section titles, got second place 2017-2018 season at sectionals,&nbsp; won the New York State Title in 2017, and placed first runner up in 2018-2019 season. The experience for me has been memorable and exciting through the wins and the losses.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-38\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.gstboces.org\/takellystudentportfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/264\/2019\/03\/athlete-of-the-week-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.gstboces.org\/takellystudentportfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/264\/2019\/03\/athlete-of-the-week-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/sites.gstboces.org\/takellystudentportfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/264\/2019\/03\/athlete-of-the-week.jpg 405w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/>&nbsp;I have been nominated for Athlete of the Week 3 times for WETM News.&nbsp; I have also been Athlete of the Week for ESPN Ithaca 2 times, multiple times for the Odessa File for both soccer and basketball. I have been recognized as a stand out athlete in soccer and basketball. Receiving these awards has taught me about leadership, teamwork, and dedication.
