Training <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When i was younger my dad was teaching me how to run heavy equipment he was impressed about how fast i picked up the skills.  <\/p>\n

Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the past 11 years I have worked on the family farm picking grapes.  I have learned how long it takes during seasons for the grapes to grow.  Picking grapes is very hard work.  During the summer I work long hours.  The day begins early and ends late.  Working outside during the summer heat is exhausting.  I have learned that hard work pays off.  I have also learned what a good work ethic is.  I need to be at work on time, pay attention to detail, be attentive, and appreciate the work environment.<\/p>\n

I also worked for the owner of the Great Escape.  He hired me as a groundskeeper.  I worked for him for two seasons.  I worked on his properties and many projects there.  I was on time, worked hard, did many jobs: mowing, hand ditching, digging, landscaping, etc.  I did not complain once.  He trusted me and would recommend me for other jobs.  Not everyone has a local business owner who would recommend them.<\/p>\n

Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the past three months I have worked as a teaching assistant in the 3rd grade at the Watkins Glen Elementary School.  I helped other high school students with teaching 3rd graders robotics and ACE CAD.  Of all the high school students, I was the one teaching them how to do this.  The students looked up to me for planning and preparing lessons for the 3rd graders.  They also would ask me advice on how to manage the students.  This acknowledgement gave me confidence and boosted my self esteem.  This also has encouraged me to go out into the workforce and obtain a career.<\/p>\n

I also took leadership on my small fry football team as the captain of the team.  I lead the team in warm ups and tackling drills.  I lead them to a championship.  That was pretty cool.  I was always one of the first ones there and last one to leave showing my dedication.<\/p>\n

Volunteer Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last year I planted a garden and pulled weeds for my neighbor.  The garden consisted of tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, zucchini, and other vegetables.  This gave me experience on how to grow a garden and take care of it.  Watching the garden grow gave me pride in my work and to see that hard work pays off.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
