12 Days of Peace: Day 11: Super Power Word | Generous

By | December 20, 2018

Below is the text our teachers will be using during Morning Meeting during our 12 Days of Peace. In your newsletters this month will be more programs we’ll be doing this month to teach our scholars about generosity, including Angel Fish Families and Book on Every Bed.

Our Super Power Word of the month for December is generous.  Generous means that you give and share with others.  Being generous is not just about buying things for other people.  You can use your kindness, your talents (things that you are good at), and your time to be generous to other people.  For example, you can use kind words and give someone a compliment.  You can use your kind actions by helping to hold the door or give someone a high five.  If you are a good reader, you can help your friend with the tricky words in a book.  If you are good at basketball, you can help your friends and practice making shots with them.  Sometimes being generous is just sitting with someone and holding their hand if they are sad or watching TV with them.  Re-read the book My Little Gifts and be generous today!
