Attached, you will find the Frequently Asked Questions flyer released by the NYS Department of Health, Office of Children and Family Services and State Education Department regarding new legislation that removes non-medical exemptions from school vaccination requirements for children.
This legislation went into effect on June 13, 2019, and effective June 28, 2019, there will no longer be a religious exemption to the requirement that children be vaccinated against measles and other diseases to attend public, private, or parochial schools, or child day care settings.
We are required by the state to enforce this legislation.
