Work Experience
The Colonial Inn and Motel has influenced my character, and has helped me improve my skills as well as learn new ones. My first and only part-time job has shown me that I work well under pressure, and I am fully capable of multitasking (ex. taking calls for the hotel while managing the ice cream front). These skills will be very useful within engineering and the work place.
Clubs
I have been apart of Varsity Club for the past two years. This club has shown me how it doesn’t matter the size of a group, they can still accomplish great things. We’ve had the honors of organizing things from homecoming events to fun and engaging after school events. This year, I am the Varsity Club Treasurer. Being treasurer comes with a lot of responsibility, as I need to be available to sign off on checks for all sports’ related spending.
Leadership Experience
I have had the honor of being the Class of 2019’s Class Treasurer for the past two years. From being held responsible for counting all of our fundraiser money and organizing it, to signing off on class spending, being treasurer has taught me to be a responsible and diligent student. I am always on top of tasks and get right to whatever is asked of me. With my experience in these leadership roles, I am able to be counted on.
Awards
I was awarded the Hardest Worker Award this swim season, and it meant a lot to me. I pushed myself to and beyond my limits in hopes it would all pay off in the end, which it did. With swimming being an individual sport and you being your own competition, my senior season was the hardest yet most rewarding season. Not only did our team win sectionals for the second year in a row since 2003, but I was able to grow with my team and lead them as best as I could. I left my legacy, and I will forever be grateful for all of the memorable experiences swimming has given me, as well as all of the life skills it has taught me.
