Algebra IR is a Regents level course that will implement the new Common Core Standards for math.  Students will take the Common Core Algebra Regents Exam in January at the completion of the course.  This Regents Exam is a graduation requirement for all students.  It will also count as one-fifth of your child’s overall average for the course.  It is going to be very important for students to stay on task and up to date with all assignments.  It is imperative that students seek help when necessary.  Math is a cumulative subject and we cannot move on until we fully understand the current material.
