Welcome,

I am Krista Standish, I reside within the local community with my family. I am very excited to be a part of the Odessa Montour School District as I grew up in the area. I am currently completing my Masters of Social Work through Keuka College. My graduate studies are currently focused on the importance of social emotional skills as research shows it leads to future academic success. To build social-emotional skills within our 3 and 4 year old Universal Pre-kindergarten classrooms, we have been using Conscious Discipline by Dr. Becky Bailey. This program focuses on brain-body states so both adults and children learn how to self regulate thoughts and emotions that shift us into a position of higher thinking where we can problem solve.
