Sport and Awards
At Watkins Glen High School, I have been involved in two sports my entire career. For five years I have taken part on the Varsity Swim Team and girl’s Varsity Track Team. Here, I have participated in a plethora of meets and invitationals with about fifteen other students on the team. I have earned the award of MVP for the girl’s Varsity Track Team and “Most Improved” for the Varsity Swim Team.
Here is a video of me swimming my personal event, the 100 freestyle, where I achieved my personal best time. This was one of my goal times in the season.
Leslie’s School of Dance
I am also involved at a Dance School at Leslie’s School of Dance here in Watkins Glen and in Elmira Horseheads. Here, I participate in productions and shows performed to people across the city/town. This year, I was awarded with the lead role in our New Heights production, “The Nutcracker.”
With the study of dance interest in mind, below is a presentation towards an optional career path for myself.
Reflection
These team activities have given me the ability to work well with others. To be on any sports team, you must have the capability of teamwork and allow ideas to flow from all sides of any given situation.
