In September, our music classes will explore the use of rhythm using hand drums from several different cultures around the world. and bucket drumming. We will learn and play patterns on:
- A set of African hand drums including congas and djembe drums
- A set of Native American Buffalo hand drums
- Cajon drums from Mexico
- Hand percussion instruments from South America and Indonesia
- Bucket drums
After we review our rhythm knowledge, we will explore reading and creating music using classroom xylophones, hand percussion, Boomwhackers, keyboards, ukuleles, and guitars.
