Travel:
I noticed that after I had traveled to another state within the U.S. from the senior trip, I knew that I wanted to be able to travel the world and take photographs. I want to capture the beauty that is hidden within areas of the world. For example, after I had taken this photo I had noticed that the landscaping was in the perfect setting along with the perfect lighting. Also, the experience of being able to travel through the states gave me the chance to get out of my comfort zone for a week and explore different states that I wasn’t used to seeing. I can’t wait to get the chance to travel a lot more in the world.
Accomplishments:
Throughout my life I have been part of the Girl Scouts of America, working hard on different projects and trying to help the community out. The most recent project that I have done with Girl Scouts is my gold award project. For my gold award project I had to create a project that would benefit my community in a positive way. So what I did to earn my gold was creating a college fair that I had hosted in the Watkins Glen High School main lobby. The minimum hours that I could work on this project was 80 hours, but I went over and got about 112 hours on this project. I couldn’t have help from my troop leader or my parents except for my advisor, who was my guidance consoler at the time. I had contacted different colleges to either send representatives or to send information about their college to me so that I could set a table up for them at the fair. I also had to talk to my high school about using the main office and filling out a building form to use the building. This project was the biggest accomplishment that I have ever done in my life, and if I had the chance to do this project again I would take that opportunity to show students different colleges that are out there and what they have to offer.
Art:
In my spare time, I like to keep to myself and my art work. I draw, paint, take photographs, listen to music, or do everything at once. I started to take up spray painting, which is really fun, and I realized that I could make a huge amount of quality of work with just using a spray can and canvas. I found that there is different techniques when using the spray cans. Spray painting is almost like photography with having angles the right way and getting the lighting and colors just right in the picture. Art is just a quality of work that is combined together in some way that people don’t notice unless they’re the artist that created that work. With making art I have had the chance to find myself and realized the true quality that I can do with the skills that I posses. I hope to continue making quality art work in the future and make bigger and better art work in the end.
Bowling:
I have had the amazing opportunity to bowl with such wonderful people over the last 4 years of my bowling career. I have also had the chance to go to state qualifiers two years in a row with these amazing ladies. With this bowling experience I have had the chance to also lead the girls team to victories within my last season bowling for the school. I have meet amazing people from different schools and I have been able to accomplish goals that I have set for myself within the seasons. I got my first 200 game my last season in the first match that we had. I have great memories with the bowling team, and I hope for the best for future teams that come after me. I will never forget my friends that I have made over the past four years.
